Cannot Convert FLV
Find out that converting to FLV do not support multi-threads. So please change "Video->Multi-threads" to "none" if u want to convert to FLV.

winmenc bug
使用 winmenc 压缩 3gp 或 mp4视频。然后再用Yamb MP4Tools 分割视频。
分割后的视频不能快进，不能暂停。
試左轉 avi 檔真係好掂!! 畫面靚又可以只聽廣東話, 係 pc 睇無問題, 唯獨load 落 mp4 機睇就只睇到上半畫面, 下半係線/黑色一片, 係咪我轉前 set 錯野?
mkv容器内的h264，fps设置成29.97，结果是25。fps设置成30，结果还是25。

Great Software. Good Interface - no need GUI.
It is the best front end for mencoder because very user friendly and easy to use. Some other software too complicated, some not enough function. WinMEnc is a good in-between.
Can improve
Some config thing like if set treads=none does not save. Also set best quality does not save in config. Can over-ride with extra setting but some people may not know how to do.
Also need to update default codec. When trying to convert rmvb to avi, get blank screen but after update codec then ok.

This is my favourite video encoder tool. I found a little bug:
Winmenc doesn't remember the saved font type in this version. You should change this line:
GUICtrlSetData(-1, $OPTN)
to
GUICtrlSetData(-1, $OPTN, IniRead($INIFILE, $SECT, "SubFont", ""))
after this line:
$OPTN = _ARRAYTOSTRING($AA, "|", 1, $AA[0])

WinMEnc加载字幕没有成功
我遇到的情况是，在有的srt文件里的时间和字幕之间多了半个回车符。在播放影片的时候，这种文件可以顺利加载。用字幕软件或记事本打开，看不出区别；用word打开，能看出区别。我最后是用UltraEdit修改好的。
具体的说，一个完整的回车符是0D0A。在部分srt文件的时间和字幕间是0D0A0A，WinMEnc遇到这种情况就读不到字幕了。

I tried a lot of software of conversion but " winmenc " is most interessant: rapids (mencoder), Light, Simple, and with the principal functions of Mencoder without lines of commands, Congratulation to the author.

hi, i've been using this software for a while. recently i've been trying to convert mkvs into mp4 format for ipod. after encoding, subs doesnt appear. how do get the subs to appear? thanks
this converter is the best one i have ever tried but for some reason i could only convert one batch of videos... when i add another batch and put all the settings then press Encode... nothing happens.. i have re-downloaded it 10times... i have reinstalled my codecs(needed to be done anyways)...im trying to conver MKV / MP4 to DivX 1280x720 HD AVI
any suggestions / help would be much appriciated
Really handy. I've been using MeGUI, but this is much faster and easier for PSP stuff.
A request and bug...
The "2> 2.txt" at the end of the commandline stops the hardup filter from working for some reason. I convert all videos to 29.97fps for the PSP and need the hardup filter. Right now, I just remove this from the bat and execute it manually. Nice that I was able to do that though. :)
Could you add support for the -sws switch by default? To change the scale filter. Again, nice that I can add this to the extra page but if you did add this to the video settings it would have everything I need.
你好，感谢yawoo制作的这么好的软件，我一直用它来转DVD光盘到PSP、IPHONE及手机。但是一直以来都有一个问题：在转DVD时，当所选择的字幕ID号大于9（如选择ID号为13）的字幕是，转出来的视频文件字幕会是ID号为1的那条字幕，而不是ID：13那条字幕，在批量命令里也可以看出sid：1而不是13。只要选择的字幕ID号为两位数，批量命令则自动取其第一位数为所转码的sid。自己再修改批量命令encode.bat中的sid值可以解决此错误，但这样非常不方便。请yawoo测试及解决。
另外不知道在转DVD时，可否自定义其字幕的颜色、亮度、位置、外框等？

At the DVD tab, only can select Drive. If i copy my whole DVD onto my hard disk, it will not allow me to select. Can you make it select from a folder also ?
I have a Quicktime file which is widescreen PAL (720x576 pixel aspect ratio 1.422). I need this to be stretched so that it will playback on a monitor properly. It needs to be a FLV file.
Changing the Display Aspect Ratio to 16/9 doesn't seem to do anything.
How would I do this?

Are you going to add AviSynth 2.5+ support to it for filtering purposes? I'd love to see more features in here and support Audio formats (Flac and DTS!!!)
For Video Size, what's missing is 848:480 (it's like essential!)

You must be a busy developer, but, How does one add more codecs?
I expanded codecs to the codec directory and nothing has been added in the winmenc menus...
I am one of those unlucky guys who bought a JVC Everio camcorder, though not the worst models...
It saves it's videos as .MOD, which for it means MPG2 video with AC3 2 channel Audio.
Playing them as is (other than changing the name to .mpg) allows them to play back on MPC, VLC, etc..
But Importing them from Premier Pro CS3 won't work directly for 2 reasons.. 1> the audio isn't recognized, and 2> Premier corrupts random frames on import of the video (I don't think Premier likes MPG2 video importing)
I have dealt with the video corruption by manually cutting frames out, which isn't ideal.
I have used winmenc to convert the audio to mp2 or mp3 CBR audio, which works...
But I would rather if I could convert the video to DVSD codec and the audio to MP3 CBR dual channel (All that is needed is to be able to use the DV codec which is already in the codec folder)
So, how do I enable newly added codecs to be used?
a brief manual would be awesome...

It's clean if you got it here...
Perhaps your copy was infected from another site? or from visiting another site...
You can always delete it and reinstall from a fresh download.. after also scanning your whole machine...
Even after so many days since your post, my copy is still reported as clean.

The bitrate used for mencoder's FAAC encoding can not be lower than 128kb even I set it to a small number in WinMEnc (e.g. 64 or 96).

the FPS from start can be 200FPS...
but after 1 mins...it drop to only around 100FPS,and it is keep dropping....when the task finish...only about 60FPS...
